MPI Business Owners Forum
MPI Business Owners Forum: program and lunch hosted for MPI Business Owners. A program outlining the most important production questions to ask prior to planning a meeting was presented by Camille; it covered aspects from both a planner and supplier point of view. After the session, Producers, Scott Smith and Sherry Johnson took the MPI business owners on a tour of the Scenic and AV Warehouse, Scenic Shop, Printing Shop, Studios, and Green Screen rooms.
Thank you to all of the MPI Business Owners for attending.

Custom Christmas Train
Choo, Choo! Here comes Santa’s train for the season!
Merestone’s scenic shop created this custom train for a client that wanted a interactive train that people could drop their donations and gifts into.
The custom pieces that we are able to create at Merestone shop are never ending, and oh so cute, when it comes to this 8.3 foot tall & 12 foot long Choo Choo Train.
Eye Catching Centerpiece for any Event!
Our talented scene shop just completed this beautiful eye catching piece by hand in only three days! This stunning chandelier is on a 6’ square frame with stepped lengths of crystal bead curtains, the longest section being 3.5’ long. The steel frame attaches to truss so it can be hung anywhere in a ballroom or positioned above a stage.
Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village, Day of the Dead Sugar Skull
Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village celebrated Day of the Dead and this year asked Merestone to create their centerpiece a 6′ T x 4′ D Sugar Skull. The video shows the steps and custom work put into creating this large and eye catching piece.
American Public Works Association; The Best in Show in Public Works
American Public Works Association’s event The Best Show in Public Works unites the best and brightest professionals in the business from around the United States and beyond for four days of extensive educational programming, workshops, and an exposition trade show. Merestone was thrilled to assist with the 1800 person Welcome Reception. Guests were immersed in all that Arizona has to culturally offer. The festivities took place at the Phoenix Convention Center where guests were surrounded by Native American, Western and Mexican environments. Entertainment for the event was equally culturally diverse and stimulating with Native American hoop dancers, Mexican Mariachi’s, Mexican traditional dancers, Western Can-Can and Swing dancers.
Our clients eloquently summoned up the event with these comments: “It really gave our international and American visitors an unexpected taste of our AZ culture and we heard nothing but compliments and surprise at how great (and unique) it was. I had someone actually tell me that she had been to the last 26 APWA Congresses and our party was the best one she had been to! I also heard that from one of our retired APWA AZ Chapter members here. I think we nailed it!
